Description
American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience, ARRT or RCIS certification, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 5x8 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Procedures include invasive cardiovascular, cardiac catheterization, and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Responsibilities span both the procedure room (scrub assistant role) and control room (monitoring and imaging documentation)
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cath Lab or Cardiology required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Active ARRT or RCIS required, or RCIS/RCES required within 18 months of hire; Registered Respiratory Therapists must hold a CV-specific certification (RCIS or RCES)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required — both must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to start
- Fluoroscopy Certification required
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures and patient care under RN supervision
- Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and serves as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
- Operates imaging equipment and monitors and documents procedure images and events from the control room
- Educates patients and families regarding pre- and post-procedure expectations and physical conditions
- Maintains unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for complex interventional and diagnostic procedures
- Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and safety hazard identification
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
