HCA Healthcare is seeking an Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our collaborative care team. In this role, you’ll provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre-assessment, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery. You’ll administer medications and moderate sedation, assist physicians with image-guided procedures, and respond to emergent situations. The nurse will educate patients and families, ensure strict adherence to safety and infection control standards, and document all care accurately while supporting a culture of compassion, learning, and continuous improvement.
Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for interventional radiology patients
Administer medications, contrast agents, and moderate sedation per protocol
Monitor patient status, vital signs, and hemodynamics during procedures
Assist radiologists with image-guided procedures, ensuring sterile technique
Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, and post-care instructions
Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and preparation with multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and hospital regulatory standards
Respond to and manage emergent situations, including rapid response and codes
Support quality improvement, staff education, and evidence-based practice initiatives
