This is a unique opportunity to join a collegial team of seven radiologists while helping shape the future of medical imaging in one of Canada's most exciting healthcare redevelopment projects.
A Rare Opportunity to Help Design a New Hospital
Cowichan District Hospital is preparing to open a brand-new facility in 2027. The new hospital will be the first fossil fuel-free hospital in British Columbia and Canada's first hospital to achieve Zero Carbon Building™ Design Certification from the Canada Green Building Council.
With expanded imaging services planned for the new site, incoming radiologists will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, optimization and growth of both the hospital and its imaging department.
The Opportunity
Island Health is seeking qualified radiologists with proficiency in:
CT
Ultrasound
MRI
Mammography
Fluoroscopy
Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
Basic interventional procedures
Ideal candidates will also bring:
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Flexibility and adaptability within a small group practice
Interest in leadership and administrative responsibilities
Commitment to becoming part of the local community
MRI or MSK expertise (considered an asset)
Training in, or willingness to train in, CT Cardiac Coronary Angiography and CT Colonography

Requirements
Applicants must:
Hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology (or be eligible)
Be eligible for Full Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
