The Roles:
Island Health is seeking radiologists to join the teams in Victoria, Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo and Comox. These roles include general radiology, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology. Find the best fit for your lifestyle and career aspirations!
Victoria offers several opportunities for general radiologists as well as for an interventional radiologist. The group of 29 cover the Victoria region including the sites of Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria General Hospital and Lady Minto Hospital. Come live in the country’s warmest city.
Join a supportive team at Cowichan District Hospital which will open their new site in 2027! This new hospital is the first fossil fuel-free hospital in British Columbia and Canada’s first hospital to achieve Zero Carbon Building – Design™ certification from the Canada Green Building Council! With the new hospital and expansion of radiologic services, this position provides a unique and exciting opportunity to participate in designing and optimizing both a hospital and imaging department.
At Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, join the team as a general radiologist with nuclear medicine specialty or a diagnostic radiologist. The group of 10 radiologist in Nanaimo covers the following sites: Nanaimo Regional Hospital, West Coat General Hospital, Tofino General Hospital and Oceanside Urgent Care along with private imaging office.
There is also an opportunity for a full time General Radiologist for the North Island hospitals in Comox Valley and Campbell River. These facilities opened in the fall of 2017 and medical Imaging services at both hospitals include:general x-ray, two fixed MRI, on-site CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound and interventional procedures, all within a fully functional PACS environment. Additionally, at the Comox Valley Hospital, there is nuclear medicine service.
