Allegheny Health Network is seeking a full-time Emergency Radiologist to provide remote overnight coverage across various AHN facilities.
Job Duties:
Providing diagnostic emergency radiology coverage at an academic medical center that includes an adult Level 1 trauma center, as well as a Level 2 trauma center
Coverage is also provided to the emergency departments of the community hospitals within AHN
The position’s work schedule is made up of 7 consecutive overnight shifts, followed by 14 days off, i.e. “1 week on, 2 weeks off.” Each shift is 9 hours in duration, with weekends at 10 hours in duration.
Part-time, per diem, and alternative shift schedules can be considered and are negotiable.
Emergency radiologists can read a wide range of studies and subspecialize in neuroradiology vs chest/body.
All AHN facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment and PACS system
Compensation Overview
Salary Range: $480,000-$750,000
Competitive base salary with additional compensation for clinical productivity
Reasonable wRVU requirements with opportunity for incentive over target
RVU expectation (based on years of experience): 8,229
Signing and starting bonus eligibility
Job Qualifications
Completion of ACGME approved radiology residency
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Participation in Maintenance of Certification or eligibility for such is required.
Actively participate in the training program in terms of clinical and didactic teaching to the residents and medical students.
Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
Demonstrated career interest in emergency radiology, strong clinical skills in all modalities and organ systems.
Must be able to function at a high level in a fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting, and work well in a collaborative setting.
Candidates will be required to read US, CT, MRI, and conventional radiography; however, performance of image-guided procedures is not a requirement.
Candidates must reside and read within the United States of American Territories including Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Northern Mariana Islands
