Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Tech Specialty: Cardiovascular Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours Hours per Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM / 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM Experience: 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases License: VA License required Certifications: BLS (must be AHA), CST, and state registration required Must-Have: Recent scrub experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases is a must. Ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills. Excellent communication skills. Team player who participates in professional activities. Description: VA license required upon submission. Candidates must be available for summer holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and winter holidays (Thanksgiving or Christmas) based on department needs. Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract for a full 13 working weeks. Experience in cases including Coronary Artery Bypass, Ascending Aortic Aneurysms, Valve Repair and Replacement, and Structural Heart Procedures is essential. Additional experience in thoracic organ transplants, ECMO, and Ventricular Assist Devices is preferred. Adult scrub experience is required; pediatric scrub experience is a plus. Call is required approximately 1-2 times per week for evening shifts and 1 weekend per month. Participation in numerous research protocols is ongoing. Candidates must be willing to work in a dynamic environment and support departmental needs.
